A more visible garda presence is to be expected on the streets to encourage social distancing

Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has announced that a more visible presence of gardaí on streets is to be expected.

The Taoiseach states that they will be encouraging social distancing as well as encouraging groups to disperse without coercion.

As well as this, all non-essential shops will be closed and that there will be restrictions on groups consisting of more than four people.
