A more visible garda presence is to be expected on the streets to encourage social distancing

Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has announced that a more visible presence of gardaĆ­ on streets is to be expected.

The Taoiseach states that they will be encouraging social distancing as well as encouraging groups to disperse without coercion.

As well as this, all non-essential shops will be closed and that there will be restrictions on groups consisting of more than four people.
