More than 10,000 people tested for Covid-19 in Ireland

Figures show that over 10,000 people in Ireland have been tested for the Covid-19 virus.

Chief clinical officer with HSE ‘Dr Colm Henry’ has emphasised the importance of the World Health Organisation strategy “testing, testing, testing”.

With this, 35,000 extra testing kits have been made available and are ready to go from today.

A further 20,000 testing kits are to arrive next week.

The total number of Covid-19 cases in Ireland is now 683.
