At the age of 35, former Aston Villa and Cardiff player ‘Peter Whittingham’ has died.
His death follows head injuries that he sustained 12 days ago at a pub in Barry.
South Whales Police described the incident as an “accidental fall”.
He had played 66 games with Aston Villa and had loan spells at Burnley and Derby before joining Cardiff in 2007.
It is with an immeasurable amount of sorrow that we must inform supporters that Peter Whittingham has passed away at the age of 35.
