Defence Forces personnel report to barracks to prepare for coronavirus outbreak

Members of the Defence Forces have been ordered to report to barracks from Monday to prepare for the coronavirus outbreak in Ireland.

They will be deployed to certain areas to provide assistance where necessary.

Soldiers have been issued an “immediate notice to move” by Commandant Pat Dunlea.

Soldiers will also be reporting for deployment with full kit.
