TV show Judge Judy to end following 25 seasons

Judge Judy Sheindlin has announced the end of her courtroom show that has been on the air since 1996.

After running for 25 seasons the CBS show will be be coming to an end.

The announcement was made during an interview with Ellen DeGeneres where she stated “I’ve had a 25-year-long marriage with CBS, and it’s been successful; next year will be our 25th season, silver anniversary. And CBS sort of felt, I think, they wanted to optimally utilise the repeats of my program, because now they have 25 years of reruns; so what they decided to do was to sell a couple of years’.

She hinted that a new show called ‘Judy Justice’ is to come out but did not reveal too many details.
