Man charged with the murder of Lyra McKee granted bail

Paul McIntyre (52), charged with the murder of journalist Lyra McKee, has been granted bail.

He will remain in custody until the outcome of an appeal by the Public Prosecution Service which is due next week.

He has denied all charges, the murder of Lyra McKee, possession of a firearm and IRA membership.

Solicitor Darwin Harvey stated that there was no possibility of him fleeing Northern Ireland and that there was no reason for him to not be released on bail.

He is due to appear in court again on the 26th of March.
