Egypt’s former president Hosni Mubarak dies aged 91

At the age of 91, Egypt’s former president Hosni Mubarak has died.

It was reported by the Al-Watan website that he died in a military hospital earlier today.

He was ousted in 2011 after ruling Egypt for 30 years.

During the Arab Spring he was ousted following mass protests.

He was jailed for life for conspiring to murder protestors but was freed in 2017 and was acquitted of most charges.
