The minimum wage increases to €10.10 an hour from today


The minimum wage has increased by 95 cent an hour from today.

The hourly rate is rising to €10.10 from €9.15.

Up to 127,000 workers are set to benefit from the increase, according to the Department of Social Protection.

Ireland now has the third highest hourly national minimum wage rate in the EU. However, the living wage in Ireland for 2019 is €12.30 an hour.
