Irish National Transport Authority urges people to walk

The National Transport Authority has begun encouraging its commuters to walk more.

The body is launching a campaign today that will encourage commuters to add a ten-minute walk to their morning or evening routes by getting off a stop earlier than they usually would.

According to the NTA “the short-term benefits are potentially reduced stress levels, a boost in energy, and improved concentration and mood.”

The campaign is being run in conjunction with Healthy Ireland
