Hong Kong protests: Police fire tear gas to break up rally

Police in Hong Kong have once again resorted to firing tear gas, pepper spray and water cannons at anti-government protesters in the City.

Thousands of demonstrators gathered on Saturday for a banned rally calling for international emergency support.

The protesters streamed into Victoria Park donning ski masks and “Free Hong Kong” t-shirts whilst holding international flags.

Rallies are set to take place today in major cities worldwide such as New York, London and Sydney.
