Businessman allegedly steals €143,215 from Monaghan Church


Monaghan businessman David Drum (57) faces 93 charges for allegedly stealing €143,215 from St. Macartan’s Cathedral.

The €143,215 is a result of a series of thefts from the church that were taken in sums of €1600 each month.

His bail conditions were that he would sign Dundalk Garda Station every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, surrender his passport and to not leave his jurisdiction.

He will appear in Monaghan District Court on November 18th.
