Three Dublin postcodes house over 40% of the capital’s homeless people


New figures obtained from emergency accommodations in March have revealed that 40% of Dublin’s homeless are compiled in three specific areas.

The data showed that Dublin 1, Dublin 7 and Dublin 8 provide for 42% of the homeless in the capital.

Dublin 1, which covers the north inner city area, has the highest number of homeless beds with 1,488 people according to figures obtained by RTÉ News.

Dublin 7 and Dublin 8 had 728 and 785 homeless beds respectively.
